Finding the right education for job seekers becomes easier

During the spring, Central Finland's employment agencies invite all unemployed jobseekers in the region to Kohti education events to learn about study options. During the spring, the operators organize three separate training events for different target groups. Lack of skills is often the cause of unemployment.

Experience KeMu – The Museum of Central Finland in the eyes of an international student

I have been drawn to the nature in Jyväskylä as a student so much that my love for history and heritage studies was diminishing. The prepossessing summers in Jyväskylä bring with them a lot of activities: nature walking, photography, biking, traveling, studying, swimming, and attending concerts among others. The nature in Jyväskylä, at least to visitors and international students, could be overpowering that it is easy not to learn of how the city - its past, continuing and changing features of life – has come to be defined.

Clientship of the municipal trial

The goal of employment trials is to more effectively promote the employment and qualifications of unemployed jobseekers and to create new solutions for the availability of skilled labour. The purpose of the trials is especially to improve the access to the labour market of the long-term unemployed and those in a weak position within the labour market. The trials are meant to develop employment support services and service models offered to jobseekers to better identify and solve clients' individual service needs, obstacles to employment, and competence development needs.
